About Daniel Carolan

Daniel Carolan is a filmmaker and photographer. He was born and raised in Hong Kong and has worked in New York City for 3 Generations, a human rights documentary production company, and JV8INC, a film casting company that specializes in street casting, where he worked on The Sympathizer (HBO). He has also worked as the casting assistant to Kate Antognini on upcoming films: Bunnylovr (Sundance 2025), Blue Sun Palace (Cannes 2024) & Lucky Lu (TBD).

In 2024, he directed a feature length documentary, SPRINGFIELD, USA with Eva Harris, which premiered at the 3rd Annual Film Diary Festival in New York City and screened at Woodbine, Ridgewood.

In 2023, he self published the photography book, ‘You’re Beautiful & Loved’, encapsulating his year-long commitment to street photography. He is currently working on a number of new film projects and continues his work with photography.

He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2022 with a BFA degree in Film & Television.
